This little device is counting the hours of sun in Diex, the little alpine village my Dad grew up in. As it turns out, Diex has been consistently the sunniest place in all of Austria. Usually it will count at least 2 000 sunny hours per year or more. Diex [?]

This was a 20 year old brownbear, now living in the local administration building in Diex (Gemeindeamt). Shot a couple of years ago, just over the border to Slovenia. I like them better alive, but the hunter, who is an old friend of my dad was very proud of his shot. See where this picture was taken. [?]
