  • 93.1332 at Weizelsdorf on the BLS "Carinthia Explorer". From the tour brochure...... 93.1332 was built in 1927 by Lokomotivfabrik Wien-Floridsdorf and its original number was 378.32. It was mostly stationed in the Weinviertel in Niederösterreich (Mistelbach and Gänserndorf area) and was in regular ÖBB-service until 1975. In 1976 it was sold to a railway association in Bavaria which used it for tourist trains until 1993 when it was purchased by NBiK for use on special trains in Carinthia, East Tyrol and Slovenia. It is one of the very few steam locos in Austria which has never been out of service!

  • 93.1332 at Weizelsdorf on the BLS "Carinthia Explorer". The tour went beyond the station to the buffer stops on the old line towards Rosenbach before shunting back into the old local station. • 383.10 on the Ferlach branch working the BLS "Carinthia Explorer". From the brochure .. This loco was built in 1957 for the VOEST-steel mill in Krems an der Donau. Its original appearance was like the Hungarian M31-series, but in 1968 it was reconstructed to today's appearance because of engine damage and poor visibility for the driver. Despite being numbered 10, it was actually unique in the fleet. The reason is the numbering system of VOEST (380 horsepower and 3 axles = 383) and there were already nine other locos with the same power and number of axles, so it was 383.10. In the late 1970s the loco was sold from VOEST to the Österreichische Draukraftwerke ÖDK, which used it during the construction of the hydro-electric power plant Kaprun and afterwards for shunting at their coal-fired power plants in St. Andrä im Lavanttal and in Zeltweg. In 1996 NBiK took over the loco from Zeltweg and since then it has mainly been used for shunting on the line between Weizelsdorf and Ferlach, though from 2002-2010 it was hired to the Lavamünder Bahn between St. Paul im Lavanttal and Lavamünde. On the Ferlacherbahn it is mainly used for the trains in the Advent season. The big disadvantage of this loco is the low top speed of only 30 km/h, but for fans of diesel locomotives the 12 cylinders make a great sound!
