  • Dogwood Photography 52 Week Photo Challange - 2017. Week 8 - TECHNICAL: One Shot. Imagine that it is the last frame on a roll of film, and you have to nail it. For this challenge only take one shot. No deleting, no second shot. The honour system is in play. So often, over the week, nearly everything I pointed a camera at, I took multiple photos. But not this. I woke, ready to get my day going, and the coming sunrise had the dawn colours that just popped.

  • Went to a new location late this afternoon to try out some long exposures with an ICE 10stop ND...Struggled a little to find a composition I was happy with because of overhanging trees but will go back another time as there were some nice logs down near the water...

  • Feeding in the trees along the Nambucca River. Always a pleasure to see these little yellow rockets. We don't have them around our place. I wondered why so I checked "Birds in Backyards" which told me that they prefer woodlands and shrublands which are dominated by Casuarinas, Acacias or Paperbarks rather than Eucalypts. Our bush is Eucalypt dominant.
