  • Native warm-season decumbent perennial grass to 30 cm tall. Leaf sheaths are sprinkled with tubercle-based hairs; ligules are a row of cilia to 0.5 mm long with longer hairs at the margins; blades are linear-lanceolate to lanceolate, sometimes shortly petiolate, 1–7 mm wide, often with tubercle-based hairs. Flowerheads are panicles (not or only shortly exserted), 2–6 cm long, with a few spreading branches. Spikelets are 1.75–2.3 mm long, solitary on pedicels 1–2 mm long or the lower sometimes paired with the longer pedicel to 7 mm long. Flowers during warmer months. Grows on the floor and margins of rainforest or dense Eucalyptus forest.
