  • This forest was clear felled (behind the camera). I stood in the rubble of the cleared area, looking up at the surviving trees. The tallest tree in shot was measured at 55 metres tall. Not sure whether these trees are still standing now. Likely to have been cut down. The logging stopped at a random point. The photographed trees were not particularly thick at the base, they didn't seem to be veterans, but a uniform forest of tall trees. Mostly E. grandis, with the occasional Blackbutt (E. pilularis). Location: Upsalls Creek Road, Kerewong State Forest. Mid north coast, New South Wales. Tree height measured by a Nikon Laser Range finder. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerewong_State_Forest
